About Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Technology

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, named after the late Prime Minister Sri. Rajiv Gandhi, run by the Government of Kerala, started functioning in 1991. It has established a vast infrastructure and put together a team of dedicated teachers. The institution has thus attained a remarkable place as a technical training Institute.Government started this institution with a view of making it a center for post graduation and research studies. The college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam, Kerala.


One of the most vibrant and largest student branches in the Kerala section, IEEE RIT SB had made a mark for itself over the years. From being a part of various inter SB IEEE programs to hosting our own events, it have come a long way. In 2013, IEEE RIT SB was adjudged as the BEST STUDENT BRANCH. It is one of the oldest and most active student branches in Kerala section, with around 150 members joining every year. IEEE RIT SB has always believed in providing its student members with opportunities to develop and showcase their skills and research at higher platforms. The enthusiasm with which its members participate in various programs is awe-inspiring. This SB is sure to scale great heights in the years to come.
